Farm Fitness The Telegraph Press Story

The Telegraph

October 2019

Imagine you need to be in reasonably good shape to be a farmer, but Tom Kemp is something else. I am startled, when I meet him for a training session at the outdoor gym on his family farm, by the sheer size of his arms. I’ve seen pictures, notably the one on the front of the November issue of Men’s Health in which Kemp, viewed side-on, appears to have a left arm muscular enough to moonlight as the back leg of a cow, but in person the effect is even more dramatic. Normal arms are to Kemp’s arms as Shetland ponies are to shire horses: nominally the same kind of creature, but radically, hilariously, different in size.
